Tainted Minds have assured themselves of a spot at the ESL Pro League Season 7 APAC Finals after defeating Chiefs 2-0 in the lower bracket final of the Oceania qualifier.

The last series of the qualifier kicked off on Tainted Minds' map pick, Cobblestone, where Ryan "⁠zewsy⁠" Palmer's men got off on the right foot, switching sides with a 9-6 lead after giving their opponents very little room to operate as Terrorists. 

Chiefs came from the break determined to turn things around and got off to a flying start, eventually hitting map-point after losing a sole round since switching to the CT side. Tainted Minds kept their composure, however, and took five in a row to tie up the score before eventually winning the game in the second overtime.

Next up was Nuke, Chiefs' map pick, and Sam "⁠flickz⁠" Jones opened up the action with a quad-kill to secure his team's T-side pistol. Tainted Minds then responded well in a third-round eco and took control of proceedings. Until the end of the half, Yaman "⁠yam⁠" Ergenekon's side never let their opponents string more than two rounds together and took nine rounds into the break. 

Now playing on the Terrorist side, Tainted Minds refused to take their foot off the gas and were far too strong for Chiefs to handle, losing just one round before locking down the map, 16-7.
